Benefits For Wash-down Applications With Prism-guided Linear Units
The Thomson Movopart Linear Units are economical linear units designed for transport grade applications such as packaging, material handling, and factory automation. These Movoparts are available in a belt-driven, prism-guide configuration with optional wash down protection. The prism guides are an engineered polymer that slide along the extrusion. These types of bearings are ideal for applications that:
- have shock loads
- need low noise
- have a washdown or caustic environment
Linear Motion Systems with Belt Drive and Slide Guide
The standard unit can operate in harsh environments but is also available in wash down or enhanced wash down protected versions for the toughest environments. The Movopart Linear Units contain of a self-adjusting magnetically sealed stainless steel cover band, which protects the unit from the penetration of dirt, dust and liquids. Furthermore, the belt runs on the inside of the profile and can therefore easily be re-tensioned without removing the load from the carriage. In addition the patented self-aligning prism slide guides are accurate, durable and resistant to vibrations and shock loads. This makes the unit ideal for economical, transport grade applications as well as many tough environment applications.
