Introduction

Copley offers a comprehensive range of digital drives for brushed, brushless, and stepper motors. Panel-mount and PCB-mount packages with high power density provide installation flexibility. A complete set of feedback options is available. Both AC and DC-powered versions are available.

Modules are pin versions of Copley panel drives. OEMs can select the required interface circuits and connectors to mount on their own PCBs. Copley provides development kits, PCB layout reference designs, custom hardware, firmware, and software to accelerate the development cycle.

Copley drives seamlessly integrate with both CANopen and EtherCAT, the networks of choice for PC-based systems. Copley drives are integrated into third-party software tools such as CodeSYS, enabling complete PC-based multi-axis motion control solutions. Copley also supports simple ASCII and serial binary protocols via RS-232 with serial multidrop via CAN.

The PLUS STO capability provides two drive-enable inputs, allowing system compliance with SIL 3 (IEC 61800-5-2) and Category 3 PL d (ISO 13849-1).
