More and more machines require compact and decentralized drive concepts. By integrating the servo drive directly into or close to the motor, cabling, installation space and system complexity can be reduced. At the same time, precise motion control and flexible integration are maintained.
MiControl’s i3 and i5 series are developed according to the same platform concept and use Field Oriented Control (FOC) for precise and efficient motor control. Depending on the performance requirements of your application, you can choose between the compact i3 and the more powerful i5.
i3: maximum performance in minimum space
The i3 is designed for applications where installation space is limited. Thanks to its compact dimensions and integrated design, this controller is ideal for motor integration in small machines and systems. Despite its compact size, the i3 provides full control of current, speed and position.
i5: more power for demanding applications
For applications with higher power and dynamic performance requirements, the i5 provides additional performance within the same platform. This controller supports higher current ratings, additional encoder options and EtherCAT communication. This makes the i5 suitable for demanding motion control applications where greater control reserves are required.
One platform, two performance classes
With the i3 and i5, you benefit from the same technology, software environment and control principles, regardless of the required power level. This allows you to develop machine concepts on one consistent platform and easily scale up when additional performance is required.
