Stepper drives
Stepper drives are characterized by their cost-effective nature, which allows them to control torque, speed, or position when used in combination with a stepper motor.
Introduction
There are stepper drive solutions where a drive operates stand-alone or where the stepper drive is controlled by a PLC via simple control signals such as I/O or RS232, or via fieldbuses such as EtherCAT, CAN-bus, ProfiNET, and RS485.
Stepper drives can operate without encoder feedback, or as step-servo solutions with incremental encoder feedback.
