New MPC Tetra Compact 4 Low Voltage brushless servo motor series for low-voltage motion control
Motor Power Company introduces the Tetra Compact 4 (TC4) Low Voltage series: a new range of compact brushless DC servo motors specifically designed for motion-control applications within low-voltage architectures.
These TC4 motors provide a technical solution for systems where safety, battery operation, or low-voltage architecture is preferred over traditional mains-powered configurations. The Low Voltage series covers a wide power range from 60 W to 800 W and is available with flange sizes of 40 mm, 60 mm, and 80 mm. Thanks to their design, these brushless DC servo motors deliver reliable and dynamic performance at maximum speeds of up to approximately 5,000 rpm, meeting the requirements of modern, energy-efficient machines and systems.
The Low Voltage series is particularly suitable for applications where safety, energy management, and battery or accumulator power play a key role. Typical examples include autonomous systems, logistics vehicles, and distributed motion architectures.
Technical highlights
Key features include:
- IP65 housing for industrial applications
- Insulation class F, supporting high thermal tolerance
- Resolver or encoder feedback options (e.g. TTL or multiturn absolute encoders) for precise positioning
- Shaft options with or without keyway and rotating connector options
- Optional permanent-magnet holding brake with shaft sealing for specific requirements
These configurations make the motors suitable for a broad range of motion profiles, from dynamic acceleration to precise positioning tasks.
Driver ecosystem for complete motion-control solutions
The Tetra Compact Low Voltage motors can be seamlessly combined with the Lite Pro servo drive family: a compact range of digital drives designed to deliver controlled motion with minimal space requirements and high efficiency. This motor-drive hookup supports machine and system designs where low-voltage operation and energy efficiency are essential, such as autonomous transport platforms, AGVs, and other mobile systems.
