Not Every Linear Motion System Requires Ball Bushings
Linear ball bushings are the standard choice in many machines. However, they are not always the best solution. Less Sensitive to Contamination
Ball bushings deliver excellent performance but are sensitive to contamination. Dust and dirt can affect their operation and reduce service life. EconoGlide operates without rolling elements, ensuring reliable motion even in less-than-clean environments. In addition, the plain bearings feature grooves that help channel dust and debris away from the contact surface. This makes them well suited for machine building, material handling systems, and agricultural applications.
Self-Lubricating and Quiet Operation
The EconoGlide series uses a Frelon® IM polymer liner with embedded lubricants. During operation, a thin lubricating film is transferred to the shaft, eliminating the need for external lubrication in most applications. Besides reducing maintenance, this design also ensures quiet, low-vibration operation. Because there is no metal-to-metal contact, motion remains smooth and consistent, even during extended use.
Suitable for a Wide Range of Machine Designs
EconoGlide is available in open, closed, and flanged versions. The bearings support not only linear motion but can also be used in oscillating and rotary applications. This gives designers greater flexibility in selecting the most suitable bearing solution for their application.
