The Thomson Electrak series consists of electric linear actuators for a wide range of applications. From compact solutions to heavy industrial systems: each model has its own unique characteristics.

Electric linear actuators are increasingly used as an alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic systems. They are cleaner, easier to install, and require less maintenance. With the Electrak series, Thomson responds to this development. The series includes four models: MD, LL, HD, and XD, offering solutions for applications ranging from light to very heavy duty. Differences in force, lifespan, and control allow the right actuator to be selected for every situation.
Electrak MD: compact and powerful
The Electrak MD is a compact actuator for applications with limited space. Despite its size, it delivers solid performance. It can handle loads up to approximately 2,000 N and reaches speeds of up to about 50 mm/s. The actuator features a DC motor with gear transmission and a lead screw mechanism, converting rotational motion into precise linear movement. Thanks to integrated electronics, functions such as limit switches and position feedback are easy to use.
The MD is suitable for industrial automation, vehicles, and light machinery construction.
Electrak LL: long lifespan and low energy consumption
The Electrak LL is designed for applications that require frequent movement. This actuator supports a high duty cycle and is suitable for continuous use. It uses a brushless motor, which experiences less wear than a standard DC motor and therefore has a longer lifespan.
It is ideal for applications where reliability and durability are essential, such as mobile machinery and automated processes.
Electrak HD: strong and robust
The Electrak HD is intended for heavier applications. It can deliver forces up to approximately 16,000 N and is built for use in harsh environments. The housing has a high protection rating (such as IP66/IP69K), making it resistant to water, dust, and dirt. Internally, durable bearings and a robust lead screw ensure reliable performance under load.
The HD is commonly used in agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and other mobile applications.
Electrak XD: for the toughest applications
The Electrak XD is the most powerful model in the series. It can deliver forces up to 25 kN and is suitable for applications where hydraulics are typically used. The XD features a powerful brushless motor, a heavy-duty lead screw, and a high duty cycle, enabling it to handle heavy loads over long periods. It also includes advanced electronics such as position feedback, diagnostic functions, and CAN bus communication.
This makes the XD suitable for heavy industry, automation, and systems where power and control are critical.
